麻豆社国产disc golf enthusiasts have a new course to ply their trade and the whole community is invited to test drive it on Sunday (June 17).
The Garibaldi Father's Day Tournament aims to honour dads while welcoming the third disc golf course to town.
The course, entitled the 19th hole, is located on Mamquam Road, 100 metres past the 麻豆社国产Valley Golf Club. The course begins on the shores of the Mamquam river and organizers are inviting anyone and everyone to attend the free event.
There will be several prizes up for grabs including golf for two at the Furry Creek Golf Course, coffee beans from Galileo and gift certificates from several other local businesses. Anyone who tosses a hole in one on the afternoon will receive a free disc and there will be a barbecue lunch.
It all runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and those interested are encouraged to test the course out beforehand as it's already open to the public.
The new course brings the grand total of three to Squamish, with one in Brackendale and one in Valleycliffe.
