The 麻豆社国产Off-Road Cycling Association (SORCA) will be holding their final cross country Toonie race of the season on Saturday (Sept. 25), to determine the top point getter of the year.
However the final race, which is sponsored by Tantalus Bike Shop and Pepe and Gringo's Restaurant, will provide double the points, which might mean a shake-up in the standings.
After 12 races, Neal Kindree is currently on top of the men's division with 436 points, followed closely by Dwayne Kress with 428 and Quinn Moberg with 411.
For the women, Brandi Heisterman leads with 210 points, next is Rua Reed at 196 and Sarah Hasek in third with 178.
For the men, the top 40 finishers get points in each race, with the first place racer gaining 40 all the way down to one point for the rider in 40th place.
For the women, the top 20 racers get points, with first place getting 20 points all the way down to one point for the 20th woman to finish.
Competitors also get one participation point for successfully completing a race.
Racers are allowed to select points from their top 10 races of the year to determine their final score on the season.
The race will start at Pat Goode Park in Garibaldi on Saturday (Sept. 25), with registration starting at 1 p.m. and the race starting at 2 p.m.
The race is expected to take anywhere from an hour and a half to two hours and will finish on the top of Thunderbird Hill.
