For the first time in 2015, the Howe Sound Men鈥檚 Soccer League returned to the pitch at Brennan Park and former champions Sikh Temple made a big impact in the league鈥檚 return.
Temple defeated 麻豆社国产Gunners FC 4-2 in the HSMSL鈥檚 return on Sunday (Feb. 15) and got goals from Taran Bir, Jotty Sidhu, Casper and Simran in the victory.
Replying for the Gunners were Sean O鈥橩eefe and Joel Tait.
It was a slow start to the season for Temple, but with the win they improve to a record of three wins, four losses and one tie. The Gunners sit in fifth place with a record of zero wins, six losses and two ties.
The top two teams in the league met in the late game, when nothing was settled as Whistler FC and Galileo FC played to a 1-1 tie. Brandon George scored for Galileo, with Paul Baxter tallying for Whistler. The result maintains Whistler鈥檚 three-point lead over Galileo atop the league.
HSMSL action continues on Sunday (Feb. 22), with Galileo battling the Ellis Moving Eagles and Whistler taking on Sikh Temple.
