CRESTON, B.C. — Mounties in British Columbia's southern Interior are investigating what they say was an exchange of gunfire in the tiny community of Crawford Bay, on Kootenay Lake.Â
Officers were called to a home in the community late Monday to reports of shots fired.
Police say they believe a group of people went to home in the area and confronted an occupant inside.Â
That set off a dispute and police say shots were fired into the home, while someone inside also fired a weapon.Â
A man who was in the home has what police say are non-life-threatening injuries consistent with a gunshot and a man in his 30s who was outside has a bullet wound.Â
Both men were taken to hospital and police say they believe the incident was targeted and isolated in nature.Â
