Two of Canada's high-profile political Dads were spotted grabbing lunch together Thursday (July 8) at an iconic B.C. family restaurant chain.

As part of their separate tours of the province, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Premier John Horgan met up at the White Spot in Coquitlam for some take-out and to presumably talk more about their to bring $10 a day childcare to B.C.

Trudeau also took some time inside the beloved Vancouver-based restaurant's Coquitlam dining room to bump elbows and take selfies with other patrons - though as some on social media were quick to point out does violate the current provincial health orders on socializing between tables.

The double-vaxxed PM, who likely has enjoyed a few plates of Zoo Sticks in his past tenure as a B.C. resident, shared his delight at making this particular meal stop.

"It’s been way too long since I’ve been able to say this: I had some White Spot for lunch today. It was great, and so were the conversations I had with folks who were there," .

"Politics aside, nothing brings people together like a White Spot picnic! Look who we spotted yesterday in Coquitlam!" shared The White Spot on its social media feed.

For his part, Horgan has not said anything on social media about his White Spot lunch with Canada's leader. He did, however, the progress he made with Trudeau's help this week on bringing a core 2017 campaign promise of his closer to reality: "When we formed government in 2017, child care was in chaos. Now the fastest creation of spaces in BC's history is well underway - and we're going to get to the universal $10-a-day system families deserve even faster."

But back to the lunch: Trudeau and Horgan are in good company in their appreciation of the White Spot and its longstanding menu of comfort eats and celebration of B.C. ingredients. In February, famous crooner and Burnaby resident  "Don’t miss out on White Spot Restaurants, a Legendary place to have a burger & Caesar," he urged future visitors to beautiful British Columbia.
