REGINA — Saskatchewan is rolling out Pfizer-BioNTech's COVID-19 vaccine for children six months to four years of age.Â
The Ministry of Health says parents can begin booking appointments Wednesday. Â
The shots will also be available at walk-in clinics operated by the Saskatchewan Health Authority and at clinics on First Nations operated by Indigenous Services Canada.Â
Health Canada has approved the vaccine for infants six months of age and older.Â
The public health agency says its safety and effectiveness in infants younger than six months has not yet been established.Â
This vaccine is also approved as a booster for kids between the ages of five to 11, as well as people 16 years and older.Â
