Stephen Colbert has jumped on the opportunity to mock an age-old Canadian stereotype during a global maple syrup shortage.

Rising international — but Quebec's strategic reserve is ready to hold the line.

The funnyman used the opportunity to ask if the Great White North is trying to enforce a host of stereotypes about Canadians, including their love of maple syrup.
