Christmas in July to benefit Food Bank

Cleaning company asks customers to help restock food shelves

Molly Maid Sea to Sky and their customers are excited to once again be participating in 'Christmas in July', an effort to help restock depleted food bank shelves this summer. Molly Maid staff will be collecting donations from their customers through out the month of July.

"We have the unique opportunity to collect food items when we are servicing our customers' homes." said Frances Lesway, owner of Sea to Sky Molly Maid. "We are excited to help out. Our customers are very generous. We are seeing increases in demand in our Food Banks of 30 per cent or higher in some areas over this time last year. Given the economy, we are seeing more people in our community who are struggling - many are coming to the local food bank for assistance for the first time. Supplies are dwindling while the need is up, so we are especially grateful to Molly Maid customers for stepping in to assist during the sparse summer months.", said Ms. Lesway.

Over 70 Molly Maid franchises across the country have confirmed their participation and are collecting food throughout the month of July.

Molly Maid has participated in other supportive initiatives in the past, including their annual winter coat drive. Since 2003, Molly Maid Franchise Owners and customers have donated nearly 30 tons of food to support local food banks in numerous communities across the country.
