The BC Coroners Service is confirming it is investigating a death resulting from what police have called a hit-and-run at a 麻豆社国产bus stop.
On Sept. 21, spokesperson Ryan Panton said no other details are available at the moment since the investigation remains open.
While the deceased has not been officially identified, a memorial has recently appeared at the bus stop.
Previously, police reported that a truck drove over the sidewalk on Cleveland Avenue and Pemberton Avenue on Sept. 3 at around 11:25 p.m.
In the process, the vehicle crashed into two women who were waiting at a bus stop. Both suffered serious injuries and were hospitalized.
The truck also crashed through a chain link fence, damaged a bus stop sign and flipped over.
Officers say a large number of nearby people saw the incident. Bystanders came together to lift the truck off the injured women.
Police report the driver, a male, ran away from the scene, but was later arrested.
