Â鶹Éç¹ú²úworkers or students hoping to become permanent residents of Canada can attend a free information session at the Â鶹Éç¹ú²úPublic Library that will give them tips on how to make that happen.
Hosted by the and featuring a regulated Canadian immigration consultant, the event will be held on Monday, Feb. 27 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
The session will explain the permanent residency, or PR, process and the best strategies and pathways to becoming a permanent resident of Canada. Topics covered include:
- Federal and provincial PR programs
- How to receive Express Entry, which is a fast application processing time, through the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) or the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)
- Recent immigration updates: Changes to the National Occupation Classification (NOC) and Training, Education, Experience, and Responsibilities (TEER) required for occupations
