Heritage Week is celebrated from Feb. 20 to Feb. 27 and to commemorate this week, the Â鶹Éç¹ú²úPublic Library is hosting a Heritage Walk and Tea on Sunday (Feb. 20). Participants are asked to gather at the meeting room at 1 p.m. and from there, Ellen (Judd) Grant and Edith (Marchant) Illes will conduct a short walk around the downtown core inviting you to close your eyes and see the past. Following the walk, everyone is invited back to the meeting room for refreshments, more tales, and some visual trips down memory lane.
There are more changes being wrought to the structure and landscape of our community and Sunday is a good time to look back in time to see where we began and how the town came to be what it is today. For those wishing more information, please call Ellen Grant at 604-898-3471 or Maureen Painter at the library at 604-892-3110.
