麻豆社国产RCMP say they have two suspects in relation to local egg-throwing incidents.
In an , police said that between May and September 2022, 麻豆社国产RCMP received 26 reports of eggs thrown at vehicles.
"As a result of these continued acts of mischief and the public outcry of the damage sustained, local RCMP felt that in order to crack the case, a task force, which has come to be known as Task Force SCRAMBLE, would be hatched," the police brief reads.
The release said that the task force was a collaboration between frontline policing and the 麻豆社国产General Investigation Section.
Charges have not been laid — pun intended.
"This investigation was important to members of our community who have been directly affected by the recurring eggings," continues the release.
Police believe more people may have been targeted than came forward to file a report.
"We believe many more people were affected than actually came forward to report, but regardless, these acts have been a nuisance and frustrating given numerous vehicles that were damaged," said Sgt. Gareth Bradley, of the 麻豆社国产RCMP in the release.
"I would like to thank the egg-cellent work by the investigative teams on solving these crimes as well as the public who have called in to report these crimes to the police."
