If you were on the south end of town on Labour Day, you likely spotted volunteer Â鶹Éç¹ú²úSearch and Rescue crews training.
The Blackcomb Helicopters Bell was hovering over the Malamute most of the day.
"Our HETS team — short for Helicopter External Transport System — spends countless hours a year training for this type of technical operation," reads SSAR's Instagram post.
"Our mountainous terrain can make land [extractions] somewhat impossible at times, therefore making HETS missions an integral part of our operation."
