1200 Hunter Place at 麻豆社国产Station is assessed at $67.8 million.

The most valuable properties in all of 麻豆社国产have been revealed, showing once again that the top echelon is dominated mainly by commercial properties.

At The 麻豆社国产's request, BC Assessment has released the Top 10 most valuable properties in town, based on the most recent assessments made.

Each year, the provincial body publishes its valuations for properties at the beginning of each year. The data released is drawn from assessments that were made that past July.

The values that were just released this week reflect the province's determinations of property value as of July 1, 2022.

These numbers will be used by municipalities when calculating property taxes.

However, the figures may not represent the most current market conditions, as a half-year delay likely hasn't taken into account the full force of interest rate hikes and inflation on the economy.

The most valued properties as of this current assessment are:

1200 HUNTER PL — 麻豆社国产Station — $67.8 million

1339 PEMBERTON AVE — Chieftain Plaza area — $65.3 million

1201 COMMERCIAL WAY — Business park area — $47 million

40238 GLENALDER PL — Garibaldi shopping area — $38.4 million

37870 CLEVELAND AVE — The Plaza at Junction Park — $31.6 million

38229 CLEVELAND AVE — Chieftain plaza area — $30.6 million

1940 CENTENNIAL WAY — Anthem Properties development —     $29.5 million

39210 DISCOVERY WAY— Walmart — $25.5 million

37500 Third Avenue — 麻豆社国产Terminals — $25.4 million

39300 DISCOVERY WAY — Business park area — $25 million

There have been some changes since last year's list.

For one, the SEAandSKY waterfront development has been removed from the list, where it previously had the top spot, likely due to the fact that the property has been divvied up into individual residential units.

New to the list is The Plaza at Junction Park, which aims to build six and eight-storey residential complexes in downtown Squamish, near Howe Sound Inn and Brewing.

The Walmart property is back on the Top 10 this year, after having taken a hiatus.

Another property in the business park area has made a new appearance. The patch of land by the Sandman Hotel, 39300 Discovery Way is now on this list.

Absent is the Quest University property on 3200 University Blvd, which is valued at $69.2 million. BC Assessment said it didn't include this item on the Top 10 because it is a tax-exempt property.
