The District is re-opening traffic after a gas leak shut down Queens Way between Government Road and Commercial Way.

As of 2:57 p.m.,  on April 5, the District has informed The Â鶹Éç¹ú²ú that the leak has been contained. 

Spokesperson Christina Moore said no buildings have been impacted.

Previously, a gas leak earlier this afternoon shut down the area, and prompted a response from FortisBC and Â鶹Éç¹ú²úFire Rescue, the District said.

At the time, traffic was affected, and officials asked people to avoid the area.
