All Stars coming to Squamish

Baseball camp offers kids chance to learn fundamentals

The Vancouver All Stars Baseball camp is coming to Squamish.

Recognized as one of the premier summer sports camps in the province, the organization was established in 2007 and has worked with hundreds of B.C. youngsters from all over the province.

According to the group's website, they have also worked with Hollywood actor Zac Efron and Toronto Blue Jays Hall of Famer Roberto Alomar. Vancouver All Stars hosted a clinic earlier this year for 麻豆社国产youth that Howe Sound Minor Ball Association (HSMBA) officials said was a big success.

The camp will run from July 29 to Aug. 1, rain or shine and takes place at Brennan Park from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. It's open to boys and girls aged six to 13 and children will be split into groups based on ability once the camp is underway.

A typical day at the camp will see attendees work on a variety of skills such as throwing, base running and batting. There is also time for daily scrimmages and other activities.

The cost of the camp is $225 and for more information visit www.vancouverallstars.ca.
