ASW setting the table

Nov. 3 wrestling card to feature 'tables match' as main event

Tables of all shapes and sizes will be put on notice when All Star Wrestling (ASW) makes its return to 麻豆社国产on Saturday, Nov. 3.

The main event will feature Mr. India taking on Lak Siddartha in a tables match, in which the object of the bout is to toss your opponent directly through a table.

It's essentially an anything goes match, Mr. India told The Chief in a phone interview. Basically you have to weaken the other guy enough to put him through a table. But this match could go outside. We could fight on the Sea to Sky Highway, maybe even in the casino.

Mr. India pointed out that the match has no pinfalls, no submissions and no disqualifications; the only way the bout will end is when someone goes through a table. According to Mr. India, the rivalry with Siddartha has been building for months and the match will be his first time in the ring since injuring his foot in a steel cage match against Siddartha many months earlier.

I won the match, but he won the war, he said. Lak is a monster and he's a guy that just doesn't feel pain. I'm going to have to use my speed to weaken him, but I'll also need the energy from the audience.

麻豆社国产fans may recall Mr. India as a former tag team champion with Squamish's Cody TKO Smith. The duo won the tag belts in 麻豆社国产in March 2011, but the last time Smith appeared in Squamish, he wasn't too friendly with the fans.

Cody's been going through a lot of stuff and he's been a little upset with his injuries and it's been wearing on him, Mr. India said. I think Cody just lost his cool, but he will come back to the Cody we all know and love.

Smith and Mr. India were forced to vacate the tag-team titles earlier this month after both suffered serious injuries, but the duo plans to return to the ring as a team in the coming months. Smith confirmed that he will be in Mr. India's corner for the main event in Squamish.

I'll be there to make sure that Lak doesn't start anything sneaky, he said. And if Vicious Verne [Lak's manager] tries something, I'll put him in his place.

Smith also addressed his outburst to local fans at the last ASW in 麻豆社国产this past June.

I had my focus on the title match and while I was sitting in the back, I heard all the fans cheering for Gangrel and I got a bit upset, he said. They should be cheering for their hometown hero and I think I've deserved their respect for a long time.

Smith said he's still recovering from a knee injury, but expects to return to the squared circle in the coming months.

In addition to the tables match, the evening will feature two title matches as Toga Boy will challenge Disco Fury for the ASW cruiserweight title and the team of Azeem The Dream and "Lonewolf" Billy McCoy will defend their tag-team titles against The Breakers.

Smith and India also pointed out that the women's match, which will feature Mary Jane Payne taking on Lylah Lodge, should be one for fans to check out.
