Caron racks up tri wins
Squamish鈥檚 Martin Caron won the fourth of five events he has raced in the Dynamic Race Events triathlon series.
In June, Caron won the Oliver sprint and half-iron races as well as the Westwood half-iron. On Sunday, he won the Cultus Lake half-iron. In May he reached the podium with a third in the series鈥 Cultus Lake Olympic distance race.
As well, he won his age group at Ironman Canada in Whistler in July and at the Penticton Long Course in August. Beyond this, he had a third-place finish in his age group at Victoria鈥檚 70.3 in June.聽
He also took third in at the BMO Vancouver Marathon with a time of two hours and 50 minutes flat and also finished with a 36:23 at the Vancouver Sun Run.
Airhouse gets grant
Airhouse Trampoline Academy has received $5,000 from FortisBC to help create a 麻豆社国产Nations Academy Coaching Program to provide training for First Nations youth.

This grant will allow more local aboriginal and First Nations youth to participate in Airhouse Academy lesson programs. At Airhouse our mission is You(th) in Action, and we are so excited to be bringing this opportunity to more local youth,鈥 Airhouse鈥檚 Rodney Wilson said in a news release.
Quest soccer
In PACWEST soccer, the Quest Kermodes鈥 men鈥檚 team won one and lost one over the weekend. On Saturday, the team shut out Langara 4-0, but on Sunday, it lost 2-1 to VIU. Currently, the team has a record of one win and three losses.
On the women鈥檚 side, the Kermodes are still looking for their first win after losing 4-2 to Langara on Saturday. They did pick up their first point with a scoreless draw against VIU on Sunday.
Next up for Quest is Douglas at home on Sunday afternoon. The women will start at noon, while the men kick off at 2:30 p.m.
