Curling season is well underway and the Howe Sound Curling Club (HSCC) is ramping up action with two bonspiels planned later this month.
The family bonspiel, scheduled for Nov. 18, invites anyone from the age of 8 to 88 to hit the ice and take on all comers from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
It costs $10 per person to participate and those interested can register in the club's lobby or by contacting event organizer Hilary Fisher by email at [email protected].
It's the ladies' turn from Nov. 23 to 25 for the annual women's bonspiel. Past years have seen as many as 16 teams from all over Sea to Sky Country and the Lower Mainland descend on the club for a weekend of fun, competitive action.
Those wanting to take part can contact organizer Arlene Morrison via email at [email protected]. League officials also said they're looking to add a few teams to the entry level Friday night league, draws typically begin at 7 p.m. and experience is not necessary.
