It's time, once again, for Squamoleans to go Beyond the Valleycliffe of the Dolls.
The 12th annual BVOD returns to the trails of Valleycliffe on Saturday (Aug. 24), with proceeds from the event going to 麻豆社国产Search and Rescue.
The event involves a deluxe guided tour through five peaks in the Valleycliffe area, travelling on trails that are not accessible by vehicle. The ride itself is a no-pressure day with all involved encouraged to ride at their own level.
Bryan Raiser created the event and helped run it for 10 years, but it is now under the SORCA umbrella of events.
As in past years, the popular fruit booth is back. Halfway through the course, there will be a table set up with food and refreshments to help riders make it through the second half of the ride. There is also an after party for the event at the Howe Sound Brew Pub.
Registration for the BVOD occurs only on the day of the event, starting at 9:30 a.m. at the top of Westway Avenue in Valleycliffe. Ride-time is scheduled for 11 a.m. and there is a $40 fee for all SORCA members, with an additional $20 insurance fee for non-members.
