2015 is a year of celebration for the Test of Metal.
The biggest local bike race of the year celebrates its 20th anniversary this June and organizers have ramped up festivities for this year鈥檚 edition.
A brand new relay race version of the Test of Metal is being offered for 2015 only and registration for the two-person teams opens on March 15 at 6 p.m. Competitors will race the same course but have a different starting point. The exact hand off point is still yet to be determined.
The anniversary features the return of Friday night festivities to the Test of Metal weekend. Chariot races, a show and shine and other fun activities for fans of all ages occur at Brennan Park the night before the race.
Also returning for the 20th anniversary is the Test of Metal Powerhouse Feed Zone beach party. The area is being put together by Tantalus Bike Shop and Pinkbike and promises to be a great area for spectators and a fun vibe with its beach theme.
The finish area for the Test of Metal gives everyone a chance to hydrate, as it will be a sneak preview of the inaugural 麻豆社国产Craft Beer Festival, which occurs on July 11.
