The 麻豆社国产Colts are on the verge of a perfect season after yet another win in GSL football action on Sunday (Nov. 9).

The flag football division leaders defeated the Westside Warriors 24-12 on Sunday to improve to a flawless record of nine wins and no losses.

Touchdowns scorers for the Colts were Rory Clements, Luke Proctor and Beynon McKeen. Clements picked up 80 yards rushing against the Warriors, and McKeen scored a rushing touchdown and threw a touchdown pass to Proctor.

Kai Nickle kicked one successful convert, and Marlow Gaddes snagged an interception on defence.

With only one week remaining in GSL regular season play, the Colts can finish the season a perfect 10-0 with a win over the Chargers in North Vancouver on Sunday (Nov. 16).

The GSL playoffs kick off the following week, with the Colts needing to win at least two more games to reach the championship game.

Meanwhile, the Howe Sound Sounders football club squares off against the Earl Marriott Mariners in round one of the Tier 2 Varsity BC High School Football playoffs in Burnaby on Friday (Nov. 14).

The two teams met on Sept. 26 when the Mariners defeated the Sounders 28-6, but Howe Sound was on a roll to finish off the season, winning its last two games.

Kick-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Friday. If the Sounders win, they move on to the Tier 2 Championship game in Burnaby on Nov. 21.
