Colts light up Eagles

Cloverdale defeats 麻豆社国产7-4 in Bantam Rep action

The power play was clicking for the 麻豆社国产Eagles Bantam Rep hockey club on Saturday (Jan. 25), but everything else was a little off.

The team fell 7-4 to the Cloverdale Colts and had difficulties keeping the Colts off the score sheet the entire night.

Owen Reith opened the scoring on a goal set up by Xavier Cadoret and Cody Flann, but that was the only lead the Eagles would have. Cloverdale tied the game a minute later and added two more goals to skate away in the first period with a 3-1 lead.

Noah Brusse scored on a big slap shot 90 seconds into the second period to once again make it a one-goal game, with Flann picking up another helper. The Eagles tied the game with a power play marker by Cadoret, with Brusse and Gabe Kryzanowski drawing the assists.

The lead was short-lived as two minutes later Cloverdale snagged the lead back, but 麻豆社国产connected on the power play again when Cadoret scored on a nice passing play from Finn Withey and Flann. Special teams came back to hurt the Eagles late in the second as the Colts scored with the man advantage with 3:45 to go in the second and then scored a late goal to go up 6-4 after two.

Kobe Burton entered the crease for the Eagles to start the third after goalie Jason Hoerger was pulled despite having made a number of key saves for 麻豆社国产in the first two periods. Burton was flawless during his time in the crease until the Colts scored with 1:48 to go in the game.
