Josh Cormack may only be 11 years old, but he's already a four-time winner in his age category at the 麻豆社国产Youth Triathlon.
Cormack continued his dominance at this year's race, posting a total time of 23 minutes, 58.8 seconds at Sunday's (May 12) race to win the 10 to 11 age division at the event. He beat out the second-place competitor by almost a minute and a half en route to the victory.
But he's not the only member of his family to have a good day at the event. His older brother Jack Cormack finished third overall in the 12- and 13-year-old division and had the top local time.
A total of 139 individual racers and 23 teams of three took on the course with five different divisions divided by age.
Other local winners included: Luke Parry (Overall 12 to 13) and Sofie Hill (Girls 7 to 8).
Locals who placed in the top three in their respective categories included: Callista Ryan (Third 14 to 15), Mikayla Lorimer (Third Girls 12 to 13), Linnea Uunila (Third Girls 10 to 11), Sophia Purves (Second Girls 8 to 9), Dylan Rohl (Second Girls 7 and under), Kianna Houlding (Third Girls 7 and under), Shane Purves (Second Boys 7 and under) and Lukas Buck (Third Boys 7 and under).
Local teams cleaned up in the relay division with Squamish-based teams Rock Stars (12 to 13), Team Kool (10 to 11), The Shredders (8 to 9) and the Cliffsiders all winning their respective age groups.
