The 麻豆社国产Eagles midget rep hockey team kicked off its regular season the right way, downing the Missions Stars 3-2 at Brennan Park Arena on Sunday (Nov. 20). According to Eagles head coach Tony Mahood, it was one of the teams better efforts early on in this young season. I thought they played well and played a full game, he said. Lucas Conway opened the scoring at 3:51 of the first period, blasting a power-play goal from just inside the blue line to put 麻豆社国产on the board early. Jesse Penner added another goal just 19 seconds later to give 麻豆社国产a two-goal lead, with Manny Parra and Daniel Munn drawing the assists. Munn then lit the lamp himself after banging home a rebound off of a Conway blast from the point on the power play. 麻豆社国产carried the 3-0 lead for the entire second period and goaltender Chase MacDougall made several key saves to keep the Stars from getting on the board. In the third, Mission finally solved MacDougall, scoring on a breakaway at 5:39. Mission then drew within one goal three minutes later but MacDougall shut the door.
