Gear swap coming to Squamish

SORCA-sponsored event looking to raise money for trail maintenance

Looking for some gear for the coming spring and summer season outdoors?

The first annual 麻豆社国产Off-Road Cycling Association (SORCA) could help you out. The event will be taking place at the Pacwest building on Discovery Way on Saturday, April 21.

The swap is a chance for people to sell new or used sporting equipment. Bikes and bike accessories, kiteboarding equipment, kayak gear, climbing gear, alpine and Nordic skis and snowboards are accepted. The group noted that it will not accept used shoes. All items must be in good condition and working order.

To take part you must buy a $2 tag from SORCA and the group receives a 15 per cent commission on any sale item less than $1,000 and 10 per cent commission on any item over $1,000. Sales are by cash only.

Participants are asked to sign in or drop off equipment from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m., with all items going up for sale from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Payout and pick-up of all items takes place from 3 to 5 p.m.

All of the money raised from the swap will go toward improvements and maintenance in the local trail network.
