Winter is just around the corner and Â鶹Éç¹ú²úresidents have a chance to gear up on Oct. 18.
The fourth annual Nordic Expo and Ski Swap returns to the Â鶹Éç¹ú²úAdventure Centre (SAC) and organizers hope to have a little something for everyone who loves winter sports.
This year’s swap is likely to be the biggest one yet, with Sea to Sky Nordics, Whistler Nordics, Whistler Olympic Park (WOP) and several of Squamish’s Nordic and ski accessory shops teaming up.
The groups are offering discounts on last year’s products, as well as displays and information on 2015 products.
Those who have gear they wish to sell can do so by dropping off their equipment at the SAC from 8 to 10 a.m. Volunteers will receive and tag the equipment, which is expected to include everything from skis to poles to clothing and all sorts of other Nordic gear. The club will attempt to sell any equipment received, with 15 per cent of all sales going to local Nordic clubs.
Sea to Sky Nordics and Whistler Nordics will have membership sign ups and winter program outlines on site, while WOP and Callaghan Country also has a display and season passes on sale.Ìý
