麻豆社国产rider looks ahead to busy spring and summer

The downhill biking season is upon us, and that means Squamish鈥檚 Harry Head is ready to hit the trails.

Head has a jam-packed schedule of events for the spring and summer, and it all gets underway at the Race the Ranch event in Kamloops on Saturday (April 11) and Sunday (April 12).

Race the Ranch is the first event in the BC Cup downhill series, a series in which Head placed third overall in 2014. He鈥檚 also busy with races in B.C. and the Western United States with the Northwest Cup series, which he won in 2014.

Last year鈥檚 strong success has moved Head up to the Junior Expert division, and he said he鈥檚 ready for the challenge in 2015.

鈥淚 have been preparing and training hard, physically and mentally, off and on the bikes, all through the winter with Team Squamish, Howe Sound Secondary Cycling Academy and independently with my coach-structured plans,鈥 he said. 鈥淚 will be competing locally, regionally, nationally and internationally in 2015.鈥

The Grade 12 Howe Sound Secondary School student competes in BC Cup races in Kamloops, Kicking Horse and Fernie and NW Cup races in Port Angeles, Stevens Pass, Mount Hood and Silver Mountain.聽

He鈥檚 also competing in Canada Cup races in B.C. and Quebec, two races in the United Kingdom, the Sea Otter Classic in California and Crankworx in Whistler.聽
