麻豆社国产native sets new record on Pemberton course

After a second-place finish in 2012, Squamish's Neal Kindree recaptured the Nimby Fifty crown with a dominant win in the Pemberton race on Saturday (May 25).

Kindree beat second-place rider Kris Sneddon by more than five seconds. The time of 2:03:21 also set a new course record, breaking Max Plaxton's time last year by some 20 seconds.

Another day of excellent XC, Kindree tweeted following the race. Always difficult and that's why I like it. Nimby50 was a tight battle and then Sneddon flatted. Battle won.

Squamish's Quinn Moberg also had a strong day, placing fifth with a time of 2:13:36. On the women's side, the top local finisher was Brackendale's Brandi Heisterman. She placed second among all women with a time of 2:31:54.

Heisterman said it was a close battle,

but she couldn't catch women's winner Mical Dyck.

I came across the line one minute and 19 seconds back disappointed but still smiling from an exciting battle, she stated on her blog. Mical is fit and there is nobody I would rather come second to.
