The luge season is over for Squamish鈥檚 Nicky Klimchuk-Brown, but he concluded it in a big way in Whistler at the Junior Canadian and BC Championships on March 14.

The Coast Mountain Academy student picked up a silver in the solo junior men鈥檚 division for the Junior Canadian Championships, he followed that up with a gold in the youth A men鈥檚 division at the BC Championships. He also earned a silver in the youth A men鈥檚 doubles with partner Adam Shippit.

Back in December, Klimchuk-Brown earned a bronze in solo and a silver in doubles in the youth A men鈥檚 division at the FIL World Cup race in Whistler. He placed sixth overall over six races on the World Cup circuit, which included races in North America and Europe.

The junior national team now has three weeks off before returning to training. The next goal for Klimchuk-Brown is to compete at the Youth Olympic Games in Norway next February.
