More than 11,000 runners hit the pavement for the 33rd annual Goodlife Fitness Victoria Marathon on Sunday (Oct. 7), with several 麻豆社国产residents posting impressive results.
The fastest local time in the full, 42.2-kilometre marathon was Edgar Mujica, who placed 1,061st with a time of 4:27:57. A few minutes behind him was Tracy Kliesch, who was the top local female and placed 1,102nd with a time of 4:31:13. Others who took on the marathon included Brian Rohl (1,111th), Jin Yew Loh (1,410th) and Monica Rohl (1,486th).
The half marathon saw 10 Squamoleans compete, with Deborah Finck posting the fastest time of 1:48:51, good for 1,010th overall. Other locals who broke the two-hour barrier included James Retty (1:51:20, 1,148th), Veronique Poirier (1:53:53, 1,345th) and Kris Duncan (1:53:55, 1,420th).
Shawn Franklin was the lone local competing the in the eight-kilometre road race, as she completed the course in a time of 48:55, good for 1,038th overall.
