Canadians grabbed two of the three podium spots in a World Cup snowboard cross race this week at Blue Mountain, Ont., with Dominique Maltais of Petite-Rivi猫re-St-Fran莽ois, Que., placing first and Squamish's Ma毛lle Ricker finishing third.

Tuesday's (Feb. 8) victory put her on top of the FIS World Cup snowboard cross overall leaderboard, ahead of her American rival, Lindsay Jacobellis, who is out for the season with an injury. The third-place finish by Ricker, the 2010 Olympic champion, was her second straight bronze medal in a World Cup event. Ricker has been making her way back to competitive racing after an injury last season.
