Miller wins in Quebec

麻豆社国产rider takes home top prize at first Canada Cup race

Miranda Miller's reaction on Twitter told the story of how her weekend went at the first downhill Canada Cup race of the season at Mont Tremblant, Que., this past weekend.

"Trying to pee in a cup can only mean one thing - 1st place," Miller tweeted.

And after successfully passing that test, Miller was officially awarded top prize in the elite women's downhill at the first Canada Cup downhill race of the year. Miller crushed the competition with a time of four minutes, 41.54 seconds in the finals, beating out second-place finisher Danice Uyesugi by close to 12 seconds.

Miller wasn't the only local who fared well in Quebec, as Neal Kindree, fresh off his win on May 12 at the Orecrusher, placed second in the elite men's cross-country 30-kilometre race with a time of 1:21:49. Other 麻豆社国产residents who competed at the event included Lauren Rosser (11th in elite women's DH) and Kip Shortreed (31st in junior men's XC).

The next event for the cross-country riders will be the second Canada Cup race in Baie-Saint-Paul, Que., on Sunday (May 27), while the downhill competitors will travel to Mont Sainte Anne for a World Cup race on June 24.
