The 麻豆社国产Pirates are set to invade the North Shore Winter Club for the Vancouver and District Regional Swim Meet on Saturday and Sunday (Aug. 4 and 5), with spots in the provincial swim meet later this month on the line.
The club is sending 21 swimmers to the meet, where locals will take on swimmers from five different clubs throughout the region.
"We expect several personal bests and, of course, some swimmers will qualify to compete at the provincial swim meet later in August," said Stephanie Wells of the Pirates.
The provincials mark the end of the summer season, but Wells pointed out that the fall season begins on Sept. 4 and the Pirates are now accepting registration for the new season. She pointed out that there are no competitions during the fall, but it gives swimmers the opportunities to hone their skills and train once or twice a week with a coach.
