Police have identified the man they believed to have recently robbed a Dawson Creek bank and eight others across western Canada.
Shaun Christopher Cornish, 26, faces three robbery charges in Alberta.
Police say the Cornish formerly lived Langley, but has no fixed address.
He was arrested on Jan. 30 at a Grande Prairie motel.
Cornish is alleged to have robbed a bank in Dawson Creek last Wednesday.
It is not clear when police will recommend charges in B.C.
It is also not clear which Dawson Creek bank was robbed, or how much money was taken.
Cpl. Dave Tyreman said police would not identify the bank due to "liability issues."
Specifically, RCMP were concerned about the legal liability of bank employees being "re-victimized" by being asked to describe their experience to media.   Â
"These incidents are extremely traumatizing for these people," he said.Â
"It's a big liability thing that we don't release [the name of the bank] and re-victimize somebody," he said.  Â
Cornish is set to appear in an Okotoks, Alta. courtroom on Feb. 6.Â
