Romanin wins triple gold

麻豆社国产skier dominates on the slopes in Revelstoke

Squamish鈥檚 Nathan Romanin was covered in gold after the Fidelity U14 Can Ams in Revelstoke.

Romanin walked away from the skiing event with three gold medals after strong showings at the event, which ran from March 19 to 22.

He took home top honours in Giant Slalom races on March 19 and 20, along with a gold win in a slalom race on March 21. His biggest win was on March 21 when he beat out the second place finisher by almost three seconds.

Also competing in the male division was Squamish鈥檚 Zachariah Ross, who finished 16th in the Giant Slalom race on March 20 and 43rd in the slalom race on March 21.

Squamish鈥檚 Maja Woolley had the top showing amongst all local females, with a 10th place finish in the Giant Slalom race on March 20. Woolley also placed 30th in the Giant Slalom race on March 19 and 11th in the slalom race on March 21.

Also competing in the female division was Squamish鈥檚 Gemma Bexton. Her best finish was 14th in the Giant Slalom race on March 19. She also placed 32nd in the slalom race on March 22.

The next big race for all these skiers and other local youth skiers is the Whistler Cup, running from April 3 to 5. Read the 麻豆社国产 for results from that event.
