Hunter Sones of 麻豆社国产is headed to the World Mountain Running Championships in Snowdonia, Wales next week.
Sones, who turns 17 this month, has been a competitive athlete in the sports of biathlon and cross country skiing since he was five years old but developed a passion for trail and mountain running in recent years.聽
After coming third in the 2014 Whistler Five Peaks trail run, he has focussed solely on running.
In July, Sones qualified for the national championships held at Cypress, and based on placing third in the junior men鈥檚 category, he was named to the national team.
The world championships will be held Sept. 19.
