Saints return to winning ways

Flag football team rebounds after loss

The Whistler Saints returned to their winning ways with a 31-12 win over the North Vancouver 49ers on Sunday (Oct. 20).

Liam Forsyth, Quinn Goertson, Beynon McKeen and Logan Anderson scored touchdowns for the Saints in the win. McKeen had a team-high 50 yards rushing and also picked up three tackles and four sacks defensively. Forsyth led the Saints with five tackles.

The victory puts the Saints back on the winning path after having lost for the first time this season on Oct. 14. The team, made up of players from all across the Sea to Sky Corridor, is tied for first place in the flag division with a record of five wins and one loss.

The Saints return to the gridiron at 麻豆社国产Elementary School when they welcome the North Vancouver Hawks on Sunday (Oct. 27). Kickoff is scheduled for 10 a.m.
