Squamish鈥檚 Quinn Moberg saved his best for last at the 2015 BC Bike Race.
Moberg won day six of the seven-day event in 麻豆社国产on Friday, July 3 and followed that up with another podium finish on the event鈥檚 final day in Whistler on Saturday, July 4.
He placed third in Whistler, milliseconds behind cumulative winner Tristan Uhl from Texas and Spencer Paxson from Bellingham.聽
Moberg placed fourth in the seven-day race that stretched across the south coast and was 97 seconds behind third-place finisher Kris Sneddon from Sechelt. He completed the seven days of intense riding with a time of 16:46:03.
He wasn鈥檛 the only local cyclist to excel during the event, as Squamish鈥檚 Greg Day was again one half of the team of two open men division champions with North Vancouver鈥檚 Kevin Calhoun. The duo completed the seven days in a time of 17:33:40.
A 麻豆社国产resident also topped the team-of-two open women division, as Brandi Heisterman claimed one half of the championship duo. Heisterman and teammate Leah Trudeau posted a time of 21:54:34 to secure the win.聽
Squamish鈥檚 Dwayne Kress also impressed, taking home the top time in the solo masters men division. He posted strong times on each day and won his division by over an hour, with a total time of 18:07:09. Local rider Chris Christie also had a solid showing, placing fifth in the division and posting a total time of 19:36:31.
Day six winner Katerina Nash from the Bay Area continued her dominance in Whistler and won the cumulative women鈥檚 division crown with a time of 19:18:41. The top local woman was Jenn Thiel, who placed 16th overall and completed the seven-day course in 27:12:27.
