Sea to Sky, Whistler Nordic Development athletes grab 19 medals at Biathlon Canadian Championships

Team BC netted it's first aggregate crown, Sea to Sky Nordics third in team overall

Team BC has locked up its first-ever overall aggregate title at the Biathlon Canadian Championships, with athletes from Sea to Sky Nordics and the Whistler Nordic Development Centre (WNDC) playing a key role in the feat.

Local contenders brought home 19 medals (including five gold, nine silver and five bronze) across both the men's and women's divisions. As a result, Sea to Sky Nordics finished third amongst all teams.

"I’m so proud of everything our team accomplished at this event, especially as many were participating for the first time," said Sarah McCaw, head biathlon coach for Sea to Sky Nordics, in a press release. "A national-level event adds a lot of pressure and we emphasize focusing on personal achievements. It is wonderful that we have results across the board from U17 athletes to alumni athletes performing at international events."
