The goals just keep coming for Sikh Temple.
Temple vaulted into second place with a 9-1 win over Ocean Sun in Howe Sound Men's Soccer League (HSMSL) action on Sunday (Oct. 27).
The team showed off its depth, with seven different players scoring goals. Aaron Rushant had a pair, with Othmene Kabbadj, Chris Johnstone, Shawn O'Keefe, Avtar Rai, Bryan Cormack and Chad Pereira adding singles. An own goal was also recorded by Ocean Sun. Rod Wilson was the lone scorer for Ocean Sun.
Temple improved to four wins, two losses and one tie on the season and is in second place in the HSMSL. The team has scored a league-high 38 goals in seven games. Ocean Sun dropped to one win and six losses.
The day's other game saw first-place Ellis Moving Eagles and third place Galileo play to a 1-1 tie in a heated affair.
Galileo received four yellow and one red card in the game, with the Eagles also picking up a yellow. Austin Aldridge scored for the Eagles, with Devon Turner replying for Galileo.
HSMSL action continues on Sunday (Nov. 3), with the Eagles taking on Ocean Sun and B&B Excavating battling Sikh Temple.
