The Sea to Sky Sirens are again looking for some fresh meat.
The local roller derby squad will host its latest recruitment effort on Sept. 9 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Totem Hall.
No experience is necessary and all interested must be at least 18 years of age. Equipment is provided but it's recommended that all players bring their own helmet.
The Sirens assembled a record of three wins and one loss during four home bouts this summer and last year's recruitment drive was successful as proven by the strong debuts of several rookies on the squad this past summer. The home schedule was highlighted by a 241-56 win over the Whistler-based Black Diamond Betties in front of more than 800 fans on June 2 at Brennan Park Arena.
