The Sirens are holding a fundraiser on Saturday, May 10.

The first chance for 麻豆社国产residents to meet the 2014 Sea to Sky Sirens is on Saturday (May 10).

The roller derby squad is hosting a fundraiser at The Ruddy Duck and inviting all fans, old and new, to check out the new players and help the team support itself in 2014.

Tickets for the event are $15 and include a burger, beer and three raffle tickets for prizes. Draws will be held throughout the night for a variety of prizes and additional raffle tickets can be purchased separately. In addition to the food and prizes, the team is also hosting an online auction with all sorts of items available.

The auction can be found at www.facebook.com/sirensauction and features everything from an entry in the 2014 Test of Metal to planter boxes. Bids are ongoing on the Facebook site until Saturday at 9:30 p.m.听

Those taking part in the online auction don鈥檛 necessarily have to be there on Saturday, but the team will have devices on hand for those who wish to bid at the bar.

The money raised from the event will be used to assist the team with travel expenses, training equipment, hoodies and brand new jerseys for 2014. The Sirens first home bout is scheduled to occur on May 24 at Brennan Park Arena.听

It all goes down from 7 to 10 p.m. at The Ruddy Duck in downtown Squamish. For more information on the team, visit www.squamishrollerderby.ca.
