Sneddon, Kindree battle for B.C. Bike Race lead

The 2013 edition of the B.C. Bike Race appears to be shaping up as a battle between the top two finishers in this year's Test of Metal.

Kris Sneddon, who placed second to 麻豆社国产resident Neal Kindree in the June 15 Test, maintained his 56-second lead over second-place Epic Solo Men's competitor Kindree after Day 2 of the seven-stage race in Campbell River on Sunday (July 1).

Sneddon, from the Sunshine Coast, beat out Kindree by 56 seconds on Day 1 in Cumberland on Saturday (June 30). On Day 2, Sneddon, Kindree and Spencer Paxson finished the day in a wheel-to-wheel-to-wheel sprint, with fourth-place Matt Hadley finishing the day just one second behind.

Overall, Sneddon led after Day 2, followed by Kindree (56 seconds behind), Paxson (2:43 behind) and Hadley (2:46 behind).

Results from Day 3 in Powell River and Day 4 on the Sunshine Coast were unavailable at press time.

Kindree is the defending Epic Solo Men's B.C. Bike Race champion. The 2013 race hits 麻豆社国产for Day 6 on Friday (July 5) and wraps up in Whistler on Saturday (July 6).
