The undefeated run is over for Â鶹Éç¹ú²úUnited FC.

Â鶹Éç¹ú²úlost 1-0 to the Cliff Sr. Cobras in Burnaby on Saturday (Feb. 7), and the result eliminates Â鶹Éç¹ú²úfrom the Division 2 Cup and ends its Vancouver Metro Soccer League (VMSL) season.

Despite the loss, it was a good debut in the VMSL for Squamish. The club posted a record of 15 wins and two ties and finished first in the VMSL’s Division 3C. Â鶹Éç¹ú²úthen qualified for the Division 2 Cup, advancing to the round of 32 before losing on Saturday.

Soccerfest returns April 18-19

After a one-year absence, the annual Â鶹Éç¹ú²úSoccerfest is back for 2015.

The event occurs on April 18 and 19. Registration opened on Feb. 6. Soccerfest has room for a total of 72 teams (36 men and 36 women) and games run from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. each day. Teams will descend on Â鶹Éç¹ú²úfrom all over the province for the event. For more information, visit www.squamishsoccerassociation.com.
