Bikers stack podium
Team Â鶹Éç¹ú²úriders participated in the third race of the BC Cup MTB Series, The Junk Yard Dog in Surrey on Sunday and several athletes made the podium.Ìý
In the junior men category, Nick Kleban took the top spot on the podium followed by Kailen Shackleton who claimed 2nd place.
Nick and Kailen were also the top two finishers at the first SORCA Toonie race of the season that took place on Saturday in Squamish.
Michaela Hoskin was first for U17 girls at the BC Cup and in the U15 girls category, Sienna Dickson and Teigen Pascual were 2nd and 3rd. Ben Dickson rode to 4th place in U13 boys and also won the heaviest bike award.
Fellow Team Â鶹Éç¹ú²úmember Holden Jones is in Europe right now for two Junior World Series races with the Canadian National Junior Team.

Axemen hack and slash
The Â鶹Éç¹ú²úAxemen Rugby Club hosted the Surrey Beavers on Saturday for their final regular season game, beating the visitors 31-14.Ìý
The win means the Axemen won all their regular season games this season.Ìý
Playing at Howe Sound Secondary School, the magnificent backdrop of the Chief represented the mountain the Axemen have climbed the past two seasons.Ìý
One year ago, the team was struggling to win, and field full teams.Ìý
By the end of 2016 the reborn team made the semi-finals for the first time since the late 90’s, and this season, marched as the only unbeaten team in the Division straight to the semi-finals again.Ìý

The sound of victory
The Howe Sound Secondary girls’ soccer team beat North Vancouver’s Sentinel High School on Monday at 4-1 with goals by Scarlett Stewart, Allie Hughes-Goyette and Fer Garcia (2 goals).
The Sounders remain undefeated in the North Shore Secondary School Sports Sr Girls AA division.
Previously the team beat Whistler Secondary and Windsor Secondary.
Collingwood secondary forfeited their match.Ìý
