麻豆社国产BMX racers shine

Several members pick up podium finishes at provincial finals

It was a successful trip to Vancouver Island for several members of the 麻豆社国产BMX club.

Local BMXers traveled to Nanaimo on Sunday (Aug. 21) to take part in the American Biking Association (ABA) B.C. provincial finals, with strong results.

Winning their respective divisions were Rich Carlson (36 to 40 Cruiser), Ron Goldstone (41 to 45 Cruiser), Heidi Schenk (5 Girls), Robyn Schenk (7 Girls), Maja Woolley (10 Girls), Miriam Bailey (40 to 46 Girl Cruiser), Mackenzie Hanwell (5 Boys), Jackson Goldstone (7 Boys) and Kasper Wolley (12 Boys).

Riders placing on the podium included Peter Schenk (second in 31 to 45 Cruiser), Bailey Goldstone (third in 9 Girls), Alex Scott (second in 11 Girls), Finn Finestone (third in 8 Boys), Tristan Lindsay (third in 10 Boys) and Michael Bailey (second in 19 to 27 Boys).

The next big event on the calendar for 麻豆社国产BMX is the Kings Cup and Redline qualifier weekend, which takes place on Sept. 10 and 11 in Langley.
