Another week, another handful of podium appearances for Team Â鶹Éç¹ú²úriders.

Local cyclists competed at the BC mountain bike provincials in Whistler on June 27 and Team Â鶹Éç¹ú²úswept the U19 male podium.

Rhys Verner, Luke Di Marzo and Sean Fincham placed first, second and third respectively to cap off a big day for Team Squamish.

Â鶹Éç¹ú²úalso had strong showings in the U17 male division, with Nick Kleban placing second and Hunter Verner finishing third. 

Fresh off a strong showing at the Test of Metal, Holden Jones double-flatted and was unable to complete the race.

All six riders were heading to Quebec on Wednesday, July 8 for Canada Cup race number four and the Canadian Nationals as a part of the Cycling BC team. Team Â鶹Éç¹ú²úcoach Mike Charuk thanked all the sponsors for their support with the trip, especially Nesters Market, which donated bars and gels for the trip. 

The next day was the BC Cup downhill provincials, and again, Â鶹Éç¹ú²úhad a solid day.

Don Van Eesteren from Garibaldi Highlands won the master men 40 to 49 division and Jessie McAuley ranked third in the U17 expert men category. Other local cyclists with good showings included: Rose Oakhill (third, senior women), Sidney Slotegraaf (fifth, elite men), Lee Jackson (sixth, elite men), Jacob Murray (seventh, U17 sport men) and William Zwiers (10th, U17 expert men).
