Four locals take home hardware at BC Championships

麻豆社国产freestyler skiers cleaned up at the BC Championships in Silverstar from March 12 to 15.

Four locals medaled and it turned out to be a banner day for the Whistler Blackcomb Freestylerz team, who won 36 out of a possible 54 medals at the event.

Squamish鈥檚 Ava Dunham earned a silver medal in the U14 girls moguls and also picked up a silver medal for the entire Timber Tour series.

麻豆社国产Elementary student Chase Capicik dominated the U12 girls division with a gold sweep in all three divisions. The 10-year-old finished first in moguls, slopestyle and medley.

Also winning gold was Adrienne Conn, who placed first in U14 girls slopestyle and added a bronze in moguls. The other local to medal was Cassidy Butterworth, who won silver in U12 girls slopestyle and bronze medals in moguls and medley.

Other locals who competed but did not medal included: Lynette Conn, Malica Maerby and Ryley Butterworth.

Coach Tami Bradley said all the 麻豆社国产skiers had amazing results and posted their best performances of the year.

The season is now over for freestyle skiers, with action continuing on the hills next fall.聽
