Pedal readers have confirmed what so many 麻豆社国产residents already knew - this town is a great place to ride.
Readers of the cycling magazine recently chose 麻豆社国产as the best place to ride in Canada.
The magazine states that "麻豆社国产is known for its amazing mountain bike trails and many popular events, including the legendary Test of Metal."
Squamish's Cliff Miller, the Test of Metal race director and one of the founders of the 麻豆社国产Off-Road Cycling Association (SORCA) agreed with Pedal's take.
"We pride ourselves in our amazing and diverse cross-country and downhill trail network, thanks to top-notch trail builders and a group of dedicated volunteers maintaining the trails," he said in a statement after news of the award was made public. "Receiving this award is an honour and is yet another validation of 麻豆社国产as the Mountain Bike Capital of Canada."
Miller noted that the award made mention of not only the trails of 麻豆社国产as an attraction, but also its mountain bike events.
"We started the Test of Metal back in 1994, which quickly grew to become one of the most popular and successful mountain bike races in Canada," Miller said. "As the Test grew, we realized that it was all about the atmosphere and culture of the event, so with incredible community support we have evolved to putting on four races every summer."
In the Pedal Magazine awards, road cycling mecca Victoria finished second, followed by a four-way tie for third between London, Ont.'s Forest City Velodrome, Valle Bras du Nord in Saint-Raymond, Que., Fernie and Rossland.
